Wood Riviera

Handmade wood-and-resin tables from the Riviera del Brenta, Italy. A configurator lets buyers design their own: shape, size, wood, resin, legs — with the price updating at every choice and the table projected into their home, at real scale.

The client

An artisan workshop

Wood Riviera makes custom solid-wood and resin tables, piece by piece, in the Riviera del Brenta. One-of-a-kind products that used to sell only in person: they needed a way to let people a thousand kilometres away touch them.

The brief

Selling custom work online

A custom table does not fit in a product page. Buyers had to see their table before it existed, know the price without asking for a quote, and trust a workshop they had never visited.

The solution

A seven-step configurator

A guided journey: shape, size, wood, resin, legs. The 3D model updates at every choice, and so does the price — live. With augmented reality the table is projected into the room at real scale, before ordering.

The final step

“See it at home”

With one tap, the table you just designed steps out of the screen and lands in the actual room, at real scale: walk around it, lean into the grain, try another resin colour.

It is the moment a custom product stops being an idea and becomes a decision.
